Ortho Tuff Skin Mats

Ortho Tuff Skin mats are great to relieve the stress of a long day of standing at your work station! Customers place Tuff Skin mats at laundry and dry cleaning presses, sorting stations, folding tables, in front of ironers and automated folders and at counterpoint of sale registers. They truly make a hard surface a soft surface. John Sullivan gets very positive feedback on every sale he makes of the Ortho Tuff Skin mat. He recommends the 3/4” thick mat for most locations for comfort and durability. Tuff Skin comes in a variety of sizes—talk to John Sullivan or Chris Schiefelbein to get sizes and pricing. Most Tuff Skin mats ship in less than two weeks.

John Sullivan, Supply Sales, holds a Tuff Skin sample while standing on a Tuff Skin mat in front of a Chicago Dryer ironer.

The Clean Show

Milnor exhibited at the 2019 Clean Show in New Orleans, LA and had a highly successful factory tour. Milnor displayed several new pieces of equipment, including the cabinet style soft-mount washer-extractors (models MTF18JX and MTF27JX), the MWB-Series pass-through barrier washers for healthcare and cleanroom markets, and the MilRailTM for loading the Milnor CBW.

The booth also featured the 76039 7-module PulseFlow® Milnor CBW tunnel, MPL656 single stage press and 64050TG1 pass through dryer, large open-pocket 76036M5K, full range of soft-mount and rigid-mount OPL washer-extractors, two OPL dryers, and the vented washer line.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Milnor booth and visited the Milnor factory.

Water and Chemical Damage to Washers

This month I will talk about damage to washers caused by leaking or damaged water and chemical lines. Inspect your washer daily to check for water and chemical leaks. If you have a chemical leak, ask your chemical representative to quickly make the repairs. Leaky chemicals are corrosive, can cause your machine to rust and can damage parts in the machine such as water valves and electronics. Water leaks at the door seal, at valves and at drains can cause the same kind of damage and can cause shorts in the machine. Water can short out circuit boards, damage water valves, drain valves, and control fuses. Leaking water can rust out your machine very quickly. Take a look at these pictures to see what can happen. Photos show chemical and water damaged rear-mounted supply chute, damaged shell mounted supply inlet and severe water damage and rusting on a machine bolt down base. (The damage to the washer frame was so severe the washer had to be replaced.)

Door Latch Parts for Washers and Dryers
Pellerin Milnor Alliance

We have parts for Alliance Laundry System washers and dryers (Huebsch, Speed Queen, older Cissell, Unimac, Ipso, and some Continental), American Dryer /Whirlpool/Milnor dryer. These machines all have door locks and/or door latches parts that need replacement solenoids, micro switches, and latches. Milnor machines may have normally locked or normally unlocked door assemblies. Newer styles for many manufacturers have replacement parts instead of entire assemblies. Alliance Laundry System dryer door latch kits are available—they come with the door latch, acorn nut, pop rivets, and screw. The plastic door latch is plastic and wears over time. You can adjust the screw for many years before the whole kit needs to be replaced. American Dryer and Milnor dryers also have door latches of a different style. The washer or dryer door has to be shut for machine operation. Door safety circuits assure this.
