LifeCare Rouseau is a regional medical center and healthcare facility. LifeCare was recently recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access facility in the USA. Situated in NW MN in Rouseau, LifeCare is a modern, well-run organization with 50 nursing care beds and 25 hospital beds. A new helicopter and helipad were added two years ago to better serve the area. All laundry is processed on premises by an experienced staff. Laundry Lead Heidi Vacura has been at LifeCare for 10 years, Leanne Berger has been with LifeCare 33 years and Mable Mahan has 4 years experience. The laundry uses Milnor washer-extractors and Huebsch tumble dryers. |

Washer Preventative MaintenanceIt is very important to properly maintain your washers, not only to prevent breakdowns but also to keep energy costs to a minimum. On 40# and 60# Milnor washers with oil bath bearings, the oil should be changed every 3 months. Some of the newer 40# and 60# Milnor washers have sealed bearing so there is no need to change oil in these machines. Most Huebsch washers also have sealed bearings.

| Larger Milnor washers and some Huebsch washers have zerk fittings and should be greased every month. As you are servicing your washers, you should check for a water in the oil or in the leak off tube which would indicate a bad seal. That means water is getting into your bearing housing, call for service. Please check belts for wear, and drain valves and water valves for leaks. If your water valves don’t shut off or drain valves leak and do not hold water they should be fixed or replaced. This is where your costs are going down the drain.
