Service Tips from Ed Jensen

Huebsch Homestyle stack front load washer and gas or
electric heat dryer

Washer - If washer goes out of balance often this could be caused by underloading or overloading. Examine your shocks to see if they are worn or leaking oil (Always replace all four at once). Look at the balance switch to see if the wires are loose or the switch is bad. Examine the pressure tubing line to see if it is plugged or crimped. When a washer goes out of balance it is possible that the machine is not level. Adjust and lock the leveling bolts. The soap tray needs to be cleaned once a week. Never use detergent pods in the soap tray; they need to go right into the washer. If your machine is not draining check out the clean-out on the drain pump. If it is clean, follow the drain line back to floor drain or wall drain to see if it is plugged. The door seal should be cleaned once a week at the 6 o’clock area of the door seal. Dryer - If you are having issues with drying the first thing to examine is the venting. All vent pipes from dryer to exterior should be cleaned at least once a year so you have proper air
flow. Keep the exhaust fan clean and free of lint and debris. Check the electric heater coil or gas burner - is it clean? Is electric coil coming on or is it burnt out? If no heat, you may need to reset the thermostat, or if gas, maybe you have a bad gas valve.
