Service Tips from Ed JensenDryer Burner Tubes – How to Clean Them |

| I get a lot of calls from customers that their dryer is not heating or the flame is yellow. What we usually find is that the burner tubes are dirty. The burner area of the dryer should be vacuumed out at least once a month to maintain a steady blue flame to prevent a fire. To clean burner tubes, turn off power, disconnect the manifold that the burner tubes are connected to and then remove the burner tubes. Run them under water at your service sink, use an air compressor to dry them, then reinstall and run the dryer to see if that took care of the issue. Remember if you don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself, call us out to do it for you. We will check for other issues. If you are still having problems with heating or flame color give me a call. |
