Bill Kim visits the Huebsch Factory

Bill spent two days in Ripon, WI watching machinery being designed and built. He viewed the production lines, visited the parts and engineering departments. He was hosted by Angela Lindahl, Commercial Laundry Sales Assistant and Tony Berton, Field Service Manager, who helped Bill learn more about Huebsch coin washers, dryers and tumblers.

Service Tips By Ed

What we are going to talk about in this Service Tips by Ed are rear burner dryers. These are Huebsch and Speed Queen stack 30# or 45# and non stack 25, 30, 35 and 55# tumbler dryers. All these models also have support rollers under the dryer wheel and do not have a long trunnion.

If you are getting a lot of vibration this is what you should check for: Lint on blower blades, blower blades or housing cracked or damaged, mounting plate loose. If these all check out it could be motor bearings - replace the motor.

Next, we will talk about scraping noise. Check to see if dryer is over loaded and the basket is scraping the front panel. Check for excessive lint or foreign objects in cylinder. Look for damaged or worn roller wheels under the dryer basket. Finally check the idler bearing on the back of the dryer on the basket shaft – replace if worn.
